We recently joined Youth for Tomorrow’s Career Day, and the attention in the room said it all these high school seniors aren’t just curious about construction, several have already completed coursework and are actively looking for their next step: real jobsite experience.
We met them where they were with a round of “Would You Rather?” quick either/or questions built around what different trades actually feel like day to day. From there, students spun one of four career wheels: Precision Pros, Machine Masters, Tech Innovators, or Site Builders — to land on a construction career matched to their answers (Crane operator, Survey tech,Glazier, etc) . If you enjoy solving problems on the fly, your superpower might be troubleshooting and Machine Masters could be your lane.

What stuck with us: these students don’t need convincing that the trades are a smart path. What they need is access: a site to tour, a crew to shadow, a mentor to ask questions. That’s exactly where our industry members come in.
